Leadership

Kathie and her husband Greg have been members at NSC since 2012. Kathie has led Women’s Bible Study at North Sound and in other churches. She served as an Elder in her former church as well as NSC.

Kathie grew up in the Chicago area and lived in New Mexico, Texas and Chicago again before settling in the Northwest in 1977. Kathie has been involved with Missions and she and Greg were blessed to make many trips to Africa to work with medical mission teams. Kathie had a career in Nursing and she loved being able to put her RN skills to work along with sharing the love of Jesus with people on another continent.

Kathie and Greg love Edmonds and feel blessed to live in such a beautiful and vibrant town, with North Sound Church at the heart of it, engaging the community through its involvement in Edmonds’ many seasonal activities. Kathie and Greg have 4 adult children and 5 grandchildren.

John was born in England, grew up in California, and has called the Pacific Northwest home since 1994. He met his wife LeAnne when he was 17 and they were both working at Magic Mountain in Newhall, CA (the 2nd happiest place on earth). She led him to the Lord and they have been married for almost 40 years. Since moving to the Seattle area, his ministry roles have included Sunday school teacher, Bible Study Fellowship group leader, church deacon, usher, Alpha volunteer, and an adult mentor position with Reach Ministries. They have lived in Edmonds and have attended North Sound Church since 2012.

Some of the greatest joys in John’s and LeAnne’s lives have been the friendships, community, and ‘living life together’ experiences God has given them through the Small Group they have been a part of since 1997. John and LeAnne have three wonderful children: John, Amanda, & Claire (plus her husband Tim). Their first grandchild – Jasper – was born to Claire and Tim in April, 2023.

Dennis was born in Spokane and grew up in North Seattle. He is a graduate of King’s High School, and then attended Seattle Pacific University, where he studied accounting and finance.  He started work as a CPA, followed by a career in the global seafood industry. Dennis is semi-retired now and greatly enjoys serving with other Christian ministries. He is currently a member of the Boards of CRISTA Ministries and PAK7 US, and has also served as an Alpha volunteer.

Dennis is thankful for the blessing of growing up in a Christian home. He is married to Traci, his high school sweetheart from their days at King’s. They have lived in Edmonds since 1988 and have attended North Sound since 2006. They love spending time with their two sons Alex and James, and enjoy traveling with friends whenever they can.

Born in the Pacific Northwest, Jack has spent most of his life here in Washington. He has also lived in Colorado, Montana, and California, and his career has been exclusively in the world of business. He has an undergraduate degree in business as well as graduate degrees in both business administration and Christian apologetics.

Jack came to know the Lord as a sophomore in high school. He has more recently served in Christian leadership as a member of multiple non-profit boards and is today active in various Bible studies, mentorships and teaching opportunities. Jack and his wife Sheri have two marvelous adult children, Evan and Jenna.

Dan grew up in Ballard and accepted Jesus at 11 years old. His faith was renewed when he became a parent and realized he needed God's help. He has a gift for service, and has held various positions in the church. Dan has also joined "Vacation with a Purpose" and made 5 mission trips to Honduras, helping to build a clinic, school, and build discipleship with the people.

Dan is married to Kerry and they have attended North Sound almost since its beginning. They have both been involved in small groups, Bible Study Fellowship, and ushering. Dan is semi-retired and enjoys giving back to his church family.
