Let's celebrate freedom.

North Sound Church Building

Dear North Sound Church Family,

Perhaps it is not a coincidence that we are celebrating our Freedom this Sunday, July 4th. Starting today we are also celebrating freedom from the pandemic restrictions under which we have all lived for 16 months! This Sunday, at church, we will have a taste of freedom before we gather to celebrate the freedom expressed by this great nation.

This has been a tough season and we are glad to see it in the rearview mirror. As we gather for worship this Sunday we will have regular seating at church. Coffee will be available before and after services and may be brought into the sanctuary as well. We will be unmasked. (Public health officials recommend that those who have not been vaccinated remain masked and parents will make the decision of whether or not their children mask.)

We look forward to seeing everyone again at our church.

Next week we will have a Welcome Home Sunday in which we welcome back to the church ALL of our North Sound Church family with a special celebration at 10am followed by gourmet hot dogs with all the fixin’s and ice cream after the service.

The Psalmist well captures our feelings of thanksgiving that this long ordeal is over. Enjoy this Psalm for giving thanks.

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!

Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!

Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

Psalm 100:1–5

Please join us as we celebrate our freedom as God’s family this Sunday.
